Survey Complete!
We met with the city commissioners and councilors a few weeks ago and they agreed that a new mini golf must be included as part of the Memorial Park upgrade. A decision on where we can build it will be made before the end of the year with construction commencing February 2024. The new course will be open before Christmas 2024.
Background:
The Tauranga Mini Golf was built by the local Rotary Club more than 40 years ago as a legacy to the City. Unfortunately the time is coming for the land it occupies to be reclaimed by Council to make way for a much needed new Pool Complex.
The current operators/owners of Tauranga Mini Golf (Mike and Ying Head) will maintain the pristine condition of the existing course until the end and have committed to building a new state-of-the-art course for the City at their own expense.
